Making a Referral for Counselling

IMPORTANT INFORMATION – PLEASE READ: 9th February 2026 - Updates to Our Referral Criteria

We are currently able to provide support for women, including those who identify as women, aged 11 and above, who have experienced domestic abuse and reside in North Tyneside.

Support is also available for men, including those who identify as men, aged 11 and above, who have experienced domestic abuse and live anywhere within the Northumbria police force area.

Our service continues to be available to anyone aged 11 and above, living in the Northumbria police force area, who has been affected by childhood sexual abuse, rape, or sexual assault, regardless of gender identity.

Counselling services are not available to individuals who have perpetrated abuse at any point in their lives. We reserves the right to deny support at our discretion.

We recommend the following organisations as providers of support services that extend beyond our own offerings.
